Apple Grapes Medley is a juice made from mix of both fruits. The advantage of having mix fruit juices apart from having nutrients from more than one fruit is that they present a beautiful blend of taste and flavor that makes monotonous juices more interesting. And we get varieties in place of boring repetitions as we can make umpteen combinations with fruits. Here is my try…

Ingredients
  1. 1. Apple - 1
  2. 2. Grapes - 1 small bunch
  3. 3. Sugar - 1 1/2 tbsp
  4. 4. Chilled water - 1 glass
Instructions
  1. Wash and cube the apple; pluck and wash the grapes from bunch.
  2. In a mixer jar add both fruits, sugar, chilled water and blend until smooth.
  3. Strain it using a mesh.
  4. Pour into serving glasses and serve immediately or refrigerate until serving.

Cold Coffee is definitely a treat for those desperate coffee takers in these summer days. Not without a reason do they say Coffee and Chocolate is a match made in heaven.

Ingredients
  1. 1. Cold Milk - 300 ml
  2. 2. Warm water - 1/2 cup
  3. 3. Crushed ice or cold water - 1 cup
  4. 4. Sugar - 4 tbsp
  5. 5. Cocoa powder - 1 tbsp
  6. 6. Instant coffee powder - 2 tsp
  7. 7. Vanilla ice cream - 2 scoops
  8. 8. Chocolate vermicelli or Hershey's chocolate syrup - for garnish
Instructions
  1. Add instant coffee to warm water and dissolve it.
  2. In a mixer jar add the coffee decoction, cocoa powder, sugar, crushed ice and blend well until sugar is dissolved.
  3. Pour in milk and whip again until it mixes well.
  4. Now pour into tall glasses, top with a scoop of ice-cream on each and sprinkle chocolate vermicelli or drizzle Hershey's chocolate syrup.
  5. Serve immediately.

Drink – Aam Phal Ka Panna/ A Spiced Up Mango Drink

I bought some mangoes from the market the other day but they were very sour when I tasted. So with those mangoes, I tried a new version of aam panna. It had a wonderful flavor and took in every spice I added quite magnanimously; I had an impression that mangoes are very rich in flavor and dominate the dish. I have not heard or read or tasted of such an aam panna, it is purely my version with fruit mangoes and a mix of spices. Please let me know if anyone who reads this has come across aam phal ka panna.

Ingredients
  1. 1. Fully ripe mangoes - 3 (Sour and flavorful ones would be great)
  2. 2. Salt to taste - 1 tsp
  3. 3. Black salt - 1 tsp
  4. 4. Fennel seeds - 1 tsp
  5. 5. Cumin seeds - 3/4 tsp
  6. 6. Dry ginger powder - 1 tsp
  7. 7. Red chili powder - 1/2 tsp
  8. 8. Cardamom powder - 1/4 tsp
  9. 9. Jaggery - 1/3 cup
  10. 10.Chilled water - 1 1/2 litre
  11. 11. Mango slices for garnish (optional)
Instructions
  1. Dry roast cumin seeds and fennel seeds and pound them with mortar and pestle as much as possible. Keep aside.
  2. Wash, peel the mangoes and cube them; put them in a mixer jar along with jaggery and a cup of water until it is blended smoothly. Strain the juice using a mesh.
  3. Add to it cumin-fennel powder, salt, black salt, chili powder, dry ginger powder, cardamom powder and stir well. Dilute with chilled water and filter again if you want a smooth drink.
  4. Taste and adjust taste, this is a crucial step because depending on the mango's taste and one's own taste spices have to be balanced well.
  5. Serve immediately or refrigerate until serving.

I feel musk melon is one of the under rated summer fruits. This is a juicy fruit full of nice flavor that fills the entire home when ripe. It is usually had as a fruit or milk shakes or simply juice.

  1. 1. Musk melon - 1 medium size
  2. 2. Sugar - 2 tbsp
Instructions
  1. Wash, peel, remove seeds and cube the musk melon.
  2. Add cubed melon, sugar into a mixer jar and blend until smooth.
  3. Refrigerate and Serve chilled.
TIPS
  1. * Add jaggery instead of sugar.
  2. * Stir well before serving.
  3. * Do not add water.

Banana lassi with cardamom is a heavenly combination, I would say. Moreover, when we use over ripe bananas the sugar can either be minimized or even avoided completely making it a healthy treat.

  1. 1. Chilled curds - 1 1/2 glass
  2. 2. Over ripe banana - 1
  3. 3. Cardamom - 2

  1. Peel the banana, slice and add into a mixer jar; add cardamom powder, curds, sugar if using and whip until smooth.
  2. Transfer into serving glasses and serve immediately or refrigerate until serving.
